Dr. Kayla Collins - Veterinarian

Kayla Collins

Dr. Kayla Collins grew up on a cattle farm in Quitman, MS, where she was involved in the national youth program, 4-H.

Showing cattle through 4-H not only taught her leadership skills, work ethic, and community engagement, it also was where she met her husband Clint! They now have two beautiful children, a daughter named Lila and an infant son named Lincoln as well as Gus, a 10 year old black lab, and Cinder, an 11 year old black cat. Lila is currently a second grader at Pisgah Elementary and the Collins family is enjoying planting roots where they now call home.

Dr. Collins’ passion for animals and for serving her community encouraged by 4-H, led her to Mississippi State University for her undergraduate studies and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.  Upon graduation from MSU – CVM in 2016, she practiced medicine at a private veterinary clinic and an emergency clinic in Hattiesburg for eight years. In 2024, Dr. Collins and her family moved to Rankin County to join the Oakdale team.

Her special interests include feline medicine, soft tissue surgery, and emergency/critical care.  As a veterinarian who loves to assist with best care and with owner education to make the pet experience a meaningful and exciting one, she finds tremendous joy in being part of a welcoming a new pet into a family. She loves new puppy and kitten visits!

Dr. Kayla Collins is excited to be part of the Oakdale team and looks forward to meeting you and your pets!
