Our Certified Veterinary Technicians
Scott Swanner, CVT
My name is Scott Swanner. I reside in Brandon, MS with my wife, Sherra Swanner, and kids Emma and Trace Alan. Veterinary medicine has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. After graduating high school at Woodland Hills in 1988, I went on to serve as a medic in the 134th combat support hospital. After serving in the military for six years, I earned two associate’s degrees from Hinds, one in applied science and one in veterinary technology. I was employed at North State Animal Hospital as a teenager, all throughout earning my degrees from May of 1985 until May 2005. I started at Oakdale in May 2005 because of the family friendly and Christian atmosphere. Besides my love for animals, I really appreciate the fact that Oakdale practices progressive medicine. When I am not at the clinic I enjoy hunting, cooking, working out, and spending time with my family.

My name is Ashley Logan and I have been working at Oakdale since June of 2015. I graduated from Mississippi State in 2009 with a BS degree in Animal and Dairy Sciences and graduated from Hinds Community College in 2011 with an AS degree in Veterinary Technology. I grew up in Birmingham, AL but currently live in Pelahatchie with my husband, Barrett, and our two kids, Evie and Asher. We have a bloodhound, Penny, and two cats, Samson and Grits. I have a special place in my heart for yellow labs and can’t wait to have another one day soon. I like to craft whenever I have time and I have to admit I binge watch TV shows. I love working at Oakdale Animal Hospital because of each employee’s sincere desire to care for and love every pet we see. Our staff is so well knit. Getting your pet well, or keeping them that way, is our utmost concern, regardless of the time and effort needed to do so…we love a good challenge!
